NOI RANG COOKING CLASS


Noi Rang is one of the oldest markets of Hoi An, it has 300 years old and so a long story. During the 17th it was only an area of garden product exchanges for the few people who were living here. Little by little, the region was more and more populated so that exchanges of fresh products increased a lot in this place. The villagers decided to create a real market called Noi Rang. We invite you to come to this authentic market, where no other tourist ever came before, to shop with our guide the necessary food you will use to cook delightful Vietnamese dishes on our floating restaurant.

Program:
8.00am - 8.45am : Boat trip on Thu Bon river for going to local Noi Rang Market, explanation of river life, traditional fishing methods.
8.45am - 9.30am : Visit of the market, explanations, history and food purchasing (local market, no tourist except our guests)
9.30am - 10.00am : Boat trip back to our Resort
10.00am - 11.30am : little break before cooking class
11.00am and + : cooking lesson with our chief, on the floating restaurant, then lunch

DISCOVER CAM THANH RIVER LIFE


This tour will provide you an authentic social and cultural view of the local Vietnamese daily life in the Cam Thanh region. We are departing from our hotel by large traditional boat to go along the paisible Thu Bon river, then we transfert on a typical bamboo basket boat to reach Bay Mau Coconuts palm forest - a revolutionary base during the war which is nowadays a luxuriant zone of biosphere reserve in Hoi An. You can enjoy the verdant nature all around while learning what it is possible to do with the coconuts palm leaves.

Then we continue our trip by bicycle to explore Cam Thanh Village. We pass through a little path bordering the river and come across a variety of sceneries such as rice fields, fish farms and lots of others. During this tour you will have the chance to meet and have a talk with locals people, moreover you can take unique pictures of the wonderful landscapes.

This escursion is the perfect way for spending a nice day, closer to the Nature and the inhabitants, and discover the real Vietnamese life style

8.00am - 8.30am :Traditional boat trip along Thu Bon River, discovery of fishermen daily duties
8.30am - 9.45am : Discover the coconuts palm forest by bamboo boat, catch crabs, learn to create handicraft palm leaves objects
10.00am - 10.15am: Come back to the Resort by bicycle, explore Can Thanh Village and learn about local activities.

Discover Marble Mountains


25 km away from Hoi An the North, the Marble Mountainsinclude 5 majestic granite peaks. It was rumored that these were the left behind eggshells of the dragon Queen after the birth of a beautiful princess. At the beginning of the 19th century, while passing through this region Gia Long King named the mountains after the five alements :Metal, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth.You will be strongly attracted by many caves,statues and temples. Climbing 157 stone steps to reach the top, you will be greeted by the breathtaking panorama of the beach. Marble Mountains have been a major pilgrimage site since Cham times and was also a guerrila base during American war. These mountains have thing to suit every interest and should not be missed.

Excursion to Tra Que Vegetable Village


Visiting Hoi An, you should plan a trip to Tra Que vilages. Lying along the banks of Co Co River are the vagetable fields with plenty of organic vegetables. Besides, you also have chance to explore the typical and narrow roads along the countryside, see water buffalos rice paddle fields and realize how friendly people are.

Boat Trip to Kim Bong Carpentry and Pottery Village


Visitting to Hoi An, you should plan a boat trip on the Thu Bon, the largest river in Quang Nam province. Lying along the banks of the Cai River(a branch of the Thu Bon) the traditional craft villages of Hoi An are not far from the town. Handicraft has been considered as a holy religion. Doing the work is of the highest moral ethic. The traditional craft villages of Hoi An were very famous in the past.

My Son, Cham King's Holy Land


One of the most stunning sight to visit at Quang Nam area is My Son -the ancient kingdom of Champa.Located in the heart of a beautiful valley and surrounded by high mountain ranges... Ny Son is around 45km away from Hoi An town. According to letters from the 4th century, original My Son was built in wood for offerings and worship og the Hindu god Bhadresvara. But it was completely destroyed by fire in the 16th century.Then it was restored in the 7th century by Sambhuvarman who rebuilt the temples in special locally made bricks. Up to the 13th century, more than 70 similar temple was built, establishing My Son as a sanctuary of Hinduism in the Champa Kingdom.
